the drive to polihale was my favorite out of this trip. we rented a jeep (of course, I know..) but we thought it would be a gas guzzler so it wasn’t in our plans. we also had set out to explore beaches north of poipu but when we arrived, they felt lonely and somewhat eerie. we had maps find another beach and when we got to the end of the road, a sign read “4×4 only.” it was the bumpiest ride of my life but well worth it.
